Just another enthusiastic Mac hobbiest! As much as I would like to, I don’t work with Mac’s, PC’s and M$ all the way, I hope you enjoy my blog. If you do, then perhaps visit my sites. iWebUserSites (this is a database of iWeb created sites) or for some iWeb 1.x tips visit here. Will

  1. Bellarine Mac User Group, Australia, sells an inexpensive, but very helpful iWeb manual.Check out: http://www.bellarinemac.org.au/manuals.html

  2. Will, your sites rock! you were a great help to me in trouble-shooting an iWeb page I created that wouldn’t load properly or play its slide show, and I will never forget that you took the time to look at my site and offer me advice. which worked!! thanks for doing this and keep up the great work–another iWeb fan

  3. I like the concept of your site, and don’t know how it could be done, but would be nice to have some sort of feature added so that as people click on a site if it is no longer up or needs a password you could click “flag for removal” like craigslist. Takes up time (especially the idisk password ones where you have to say cancel like 5 x’s)

You have mentioned something that I keep meaning to do, and that it add an RIP button at the bottom of every page so that good folks like yourself can let me know when pages no longer work.

I will try to do this with my next round of updates, hopefully before this week is out!

  5. what program was iwebusersites made with, obviously not iweb….or is it?

  6. Hi d

iwebusersites is totally iweb, nothing more!

It is quite painstaking to update all of the entry, which is why I don’t get to it as often as I should.

I would love to add a sql database onto the back end so that I could do some sort of dynamic page generation. But my time and talent do not allow such things :)

    Enjoy

Re: Upload my website designed on Apple Platform

Sorry to interrupt apple pro user with my questions, i am new mac user who has recently moved away from pc platfrom, and i don’t regret it one bit.

Now to the main reason for intruding on you like this!, I recently created a website via apple apps, i would like to upload this to www. iWeb User Site, how do i go about doing this, do i just follow the instruction printed iWeb User Site.

Is there any obstacles i should be aware of, that has has often caught other out when attempting to upload their website via iWeb User Site.

Is there cost involved, for example do i need to pay for the domain name i choose via iWeb User Site. http://www..com or uk

How different is iWeb User Site from MobileMe account,

I have a domain name registered with 1&1 Internet Ltd, can i uses this via iWeb User Site, If yes, how does this work the exchange over, and what do i need to do!
, and what detail do i need to pass on to 1&1 Internet Ltd.

look forward to hearing from someone.

    Thanks

    Faithfully yours

    Mr Saj

  8. I am far from an Apple Pro, just a using who like to play :)

Welcome to the Mac world, as for listing your site on iWebUserSites, there is no fee involved in any way. The site is just a listing of other peoples sites that are hosted elsewhere, I do not host your site for you, I simply add it to the list of other sites iWeb created sites that are already there. Stay with 1and1, that is who I use to host my sites. If you have a site that is created with iWeb and you would like featured on iWebUserSite, simply submit it from the AddMe page (Submit Your SIte link on the HomePage).

    All the best

    Will
